With the RLC series lounge chair covers from Raffles Covers, you can protect your lounge chair, armchair or compact loveseat all year round against rain, wind, dirt, green deposits and sunlight. Whether your chair is on the patio, balcony, under a canopy or free-standing in the garden: with this cover your lounge chair stays clean, dry and ready for use at any time.
The RLC series has been specially developed for rectangular and square lounge chairs. There are models for compact chairs of approx. 80 × 70 cm up to generous lounge chairs of approx. 120 × 100 cm. The cover fits closely, so it flaps less in the wind.
High-quality material for 4-season protection
Every cover in the RLC series is made from 600D Solution Dyed Oxford polyester (approx. 230 g/m²) with a durable, breathable TPU coating on the inside. This premium fabric is waterproof, UV-, frost- and winter-resistant, solution dyed for very high colour fastness, PFAS-free and has a canvas-like texture that feels sturdy and luxurious.
The double-stitched seams are taped on the inside with PU tape, making them extra strong and showerproof. This helps extend the lifespan of your lounge chair and reduces discolouration or damage caused by the weather.
Breathable and condensation-reducing
An RLC cover is not only strong, but also breathable. The fabric has a breathable inner layer and integrated Airvents (ventilation openings) that provide additional air circulation under the cover. This helps reduce condensation, counteracts mould and mildew on cushions and reduces rust and corrosion on metal parts of your lounge chair.
Includes Water Shedding Cushion (RWSC)
With most RLC covers you receive a free Raffles Water Shedding Cushion (RWSC), usually type RWSC8060 (80 × 60 cm). Place this inflatable cushion on the seat, under the cover, to create a high point so that rainwater can easily run off instead of forming puddles on the fabric. This is better for the fabric, seams and ventilation.
Secure, wind-resistant fit
The RLC covers are designed to fit snugly yet practically around your lounge chair. The straight cut with a height of approx. 75 cm all round and the relatively heavy fabric ensure a stable fit that flaps less in the wind.
For a secure and wind-resistant attachment, the covers are standard equipped with:
- Elastic drawcord in the hem with stopper(s) for a close-fitting bottom edge
- Click-Close straps to fasten the cover to a leg or frame to prevent lifting
- Sturdy handles for easy fitting and removal
- Spacious storage bag to store the cover neatly when not in use
Is your lounge chair very exposed and windy, for example on a balcony, roof terrace or in an open garden? Then combine the cover with accessories such as sandbags (RSBAG), bungee cords (RHOOK), bungee balls or clips (RCLIP) for extra stability.
Measuring & usage tips for lounge chair covers
- Measure your lounge chair on the outside (outside armrest to outside armrest).
- Measure the depth from the front of the seat cushion to the back of the backrest or from front to back leg.
- Choose an RLC cover whose length and depth come as close as possible to the dimensions of your chair.
- Leave approx. 2–15 cm free at the bottom for ventilation and less condensation.
- During prolonged wet weather, check regularly for moisture under the cover and let the chair air in dry weather.
Cushions & seasonal use
- Summer: cushions can often stay under the cover, provided you ventilate regularly and check for moisture.
- Autumn & winter: preferably always store cushions dry indoors for the best lifespan and to prevent mould.
