With the cantilever parasol covers from Raffles Covers you can protect your garden parasol with centre pole, straight cantilever parasols and large hospitality and XL cantilever parasols effectively against the elements and dirt. The models are tailored to different sizes, from compact garden parasols to very large hospitality and patio parasols.

The covers protect canopy and frame against rain, sun, dirt, green deposits, bird droppings and UV radiation. This way your parasol lasts longer, you avoid unnecessary wear and it remains clean and quickly ready for use.

High-quality material for long-lasting protection

Every cantilever parasol cover is made from robust 600D Premier Solution Dyed Oxford polyester (approx. 230 g/m²), comparable to the fabric used for quality sports bags and outdoor rucksacks. The inside is finished with a breathable, water-repellent TPU coating. This material:

• protects against precipitation, dirt, green deposits and bird droppings
• reduces condensation and helps limit rust and corrosion
• as a fabric is 100% waterproof, yet breathable
• is UV- and frost-resistant, suitable for all seasons
• is solution dyed for long-lasting colour fastness

The double-stitched seams are finished on the inside with PU tape, making them extra strong and splashproof.

Breathable material against condensation, mould and mildew

The breathable fabric allows moist air to escape, reducing the risk of condensation, mould and mildew on closed parasols. This is essential for large cantilever and hospitality parasols where moisture would otherwise remain trapped easily.

With strong temperature fluctuations there can always be some condensation; the breathable material helps to minimise this and offers additional protection against rust and deposits.

Practical design for straight and XL cantilever parasols

The covers are designed for daily, practical use, even on tall parasols:

• each cover comes with a lifting pole that is slid into the hem of the cover
• many models have a pole of approx. 170 cm, allowing you to work from ground level
• just above the bottom edge there is a loop with opening or triangular hole for the pole
• XL and hospitality models come with an extra-sturdy aluminium lifting pole or a set of two aluminium poles
• a heavy-duty quality zip with pull cord runs smoothly from top to bottom and is suitable for intensive use; on certain hospitality covers a heavy-duty zip is integrated into a pulley or winch system
• at the bottom, a drawcord with stopper(s) provides a snug fit so the cover catches less wind

The RUS series cantilever parasol covers are suitable for, among others:

• smaller parasols such as balcony, beach and Bali parasols (approx. 135–160 cm cover length)
• garden parasols with centre mast, round up to approx. Ø 300–330 cm and square up to approx. 250 × 250 cm or 275 × 275 cm (covers of approx. 195–225 cm in length)
• larger garden parasols and straight cantilever parasols up to approx. 245 cm cover length
• straight cantilever parasols up to approx. Ø 350 cm and centre-pole parasols up to approx. Ø 450 cm (covers of approx. 265–280 × 65 cm)
• XL cantilever parasols and hospitality parasols up to approx. Ø 500 cm or 400 × 400 cm, covered with extra-long covers of approx. 310 cm which also enclose the rotation mechanism and the top of the parasol base

The tapered shape (narrower at the top, wider in the middle, more generous at the bottom) ensures that the cover falls smoothly around the closed parasol without pinching. The fit is deliberately a little more generous to reduce tension on the zip.

Usage tips for cantilever parasol covers

• Always fold the parasol completely closed and tie the canopy together before fitting the cover.
• Ideally fit the cover when the canopy is as dry as possible.
• Use the supplied lifting pole via the opening below the loop to raise the cover from ground level over the parasol.
• Close the zip from top to bottom and tighten the drawcord at the bottom.
• For longer storage in autumn and winter, air the parasol from time to time or, if possible, store it in a dry, sheltered place.
• Make sure the cover is not too tight, especially on large hospitality and XL cantilever parasols, so the zip is not unnecessarily strained.
