The Raffles Covers parasol covers protect your beach parasol, balcony parasol, garden parasol with a centre pole and your straight cantilever parasol, from compact models to XL and hospitality parasols, against the weather and dirt. This one range (RUS) offers covers from 135 to 390 cm in length, so there is a suitable size for every type of parasol.
The covers shield canopy and frame from rain, sun, dirt, green deposits, bird droppings and UV radiation. Your parasol lasts longer, suffers less wear and stays clean and ready to use the moment the sun comes out.
Centre pole or cantilever parasol: what is the difference?
A good fit starts with knowing which type of parasol you have. The two types are built differently, so each needs a different cover:
- Centre pole parasol: the pole stands in the middle, directly under the canopy, usually in a base or in the table hole. The canopy hangs around the pole. This is the standard model for balconies, beaches and gardens. The matching covers are roughly 135-245 cm long (RUS135 to RUS245).
- Cantilever parasol: the pole stands beside the seating area and the canopy hangs freely from an arm above the table or lounge set, so there is no pole in the middle. Cantilever parasols are generally larger and heavier than centre pole parasols. A straight cantilever parasol has a straight pole; on a curved cantilever parasol the pole is curved. The covers in this range are for straight cantilever parasols and are roughly 250-390 cm long (RUS250 to RUS390).
- Overlap: small straight cantilever parasols and larger centre pole garden parasols fit the same covers up to about 245 cm in length. Large centre pole parasols and straight cantilever parasols up to about Ø 450 cm use the longer 265-280 cm covers.

High-quality fabric for long-lasting protection
Every Raffles Covers parasol cover is made from heavy-duty 600D Premier Solution Dyed Oxford polyester (approx. 230 g/m²), comparable to the fabric used in quality sports bags and outdoor rucksacks. The inside has a breathable, water-repellent PU coating. This fabric:
- protects against rain, dirt, green deposits and bird droppings
- is 100% waterproof as a material, yet breathable
- is UV- and frost-resistant, so suitable for all seasons
- is Solution Dyed, so the colour stays rich and fade-resistant for years
The double-stitched seams are taped on the inside with PU tape. This makes the seams extra strong and splash-proof, which adds to the lifespan of the cover.
Breathable fabric against condensation, mould and mildew
The breathable fabric lets damp air escape from the cover, which reduces the risk of condensation, mould and mildew. That matters for every folded parasol, whether it is a small centre pole parasol or a large cantilever or hospitality parasol: otherwise moisture stays trapped and rust and corrosion can develop.
Some condensation can always occur when temperatures change sharply; the breathable fabric keeps it to a minimum.
Practical design with lifting pole, strong zip and drawcord
The covers are designed for everyday use, even on tall parasols. You do not need a stepladder or a chair:
- every cover comes with a lifting pole that slides into the hem of the cover
- many models have a pole of about 170 cm, so you can work from the ground
- about 15 cm above the bottom edge, a loop sits between zip and hem; the opening for the pole is directly below it
- XL and hospitality models come with an extra-strong aluminium lifting pole or a set of two aluminium poles: RUS310, RUS360, RUS385 and RUS390 come with two poles, RUS310 and RUS360 also with a pulley system
- a heavy-duty zip with a pull cord runs smoothly from top to bottom and is built for intensive use; on certain hospitality covers a heavy-duty zip with a pulley or winch system is integrated
- a drawcord with toggles at the bottom edge gives a close fit, so the cover catches less wind

Which cover fits which parasol?
The RUS range suits a wide variety of parasols:
- Small parasols (beach, balcony, Bali) with a centre pole: covers of about 135 and 160 cm (RUS135, RUS160).
- Standard garden parasols with a centre pole, round up to about Ø 300-330 cm and square up to about 250 × 250 cm or 275 × 275 cm: covers of about 195 and 225 cm (RUS195, RUS225).
- Larger garden parasols with a centre pole and small straight cantilever parasols up to about 245 cm cover length: RUS245, and RUS250 for larger models.
- Straight cantilever parasols up to about Ø 350 cm and centre pole parasols up to about Ø 450 cm: covers of about 265-280 cm (RUS265, RUS280).
- XL cantilever parasols and hospitality parasols up to about Ø 500 cm or 400 × 400 cm: the extra-long cover of about 310 cm (RUS310) also takes in the rotation mechanism and the top of the parasol base.
- Large hospitality, market and mega parasols up to about Ø 700 cm or 500 × 500 cm: the extra-long covers of 360-390 cm with two aluminium poles (RUS360 for large hospitality parasols, RUS385 for hospitality parasols or large cantilever parasols, RUS390 for XL hospitality parasols).
The tapered shape (narrower at the top, wider in the middle, roomier at the bottom) lets the cover slide over the closed parasol without pinching. The sizing is deliberately a little generous so the zip is under less strain and lasts longer. If in doubt, choose the slightly larger model.
Do you know the diameter or size of your parasol? Work out the minimum cover length: half the diameter (the length of the ribs) plus 15 cm for the top and 20 cm extra, so that the cover fits loosely over the canopy (for a 300 cm diameter: 150 + 15 + 20 = 185 cm). Under “Suitable for” you will find a size guide by diameter and by size (square or rectangular) with the matching RUS cover.
Tips for using parasol covers
- Close the parasol completely and tie the canopy together neatly before fitting the cover.
- Try to keep the canopy as dry as possible when covering it.
- Slide the lifting pole into the hem, insert it into the opening just below the loop and raise the cover over the parasol from the ground.
- Close the zip from top to bottom and pull the drawcord tight at the bottom.
- For long storage in autumn and winter, air the parasol now and then or, if possible, keep it in a dry, sheltered spot.
- Make sure the cover is not too tight, especially on large XL and hospitality parasols, so the zip is not strained.
- On the largest models (RUS310 to RUS390), use both aluminium poles and, on RUS310 and RUS360, the pulley system as described in the instructions.

Size guide for round parasols (diameter)
The minimum cover length is half the diameter (the length of the ribs), plus 15 cm for the top and 20 cm extra, so that the cover fits loosely over the canopy. Example: for a diameter of 300 cm this is 150 + 15 + 20 = 185 cm. If you do not know the diameter, measure the length of the ribs with the parasol closed and add about 35 cm.

Hoes met stok voor zweefparasol 265 cm
Prima prijs/kwaliteit, snelle levering. De hoes is mooi van kleur en mooie afwerking van de stof en naden. De rits is kwalitatief zeer goed. De lengte van de stok is gemakkelijk in gebruik. De hoes is ruim en lang genoeg om de parasol helemaal af te dekken. Goede keuze!!
