The Raffles Covers RBGE series has been specially developed for round kamado barbecues such as Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe, The Bastard, Grill Guru, Monolith, Primo and comparable brands. Whether your kamado is freestanding, in a Nest on wheels or built into an outdoor kitchen, within this series there is always a cover that matches the diameter, height and set-up of your kamado.
The models range in diameter from Ø 60 to Ø 90 cm and in height from 70 to 130 cm. There are standard models, dome models (only the dome for built-in kamados) and long models (extra length, also over the frame and wheels). This makes it easy to choose the right cover for, for example, a Big Green Egg Medium, Large or XLarge, with or without side shelves, nest handler or base.

The Raffles Covers RBGE90long is the largest Long model in the Raffles Covers Kamado cover range. It has been developed for extra-large Kamados installed on a Nest, trolley or wheeled frame with an outside circumference of 252–282 cm. Kamados with permanent side shelves, larger hinge systems or more substantial frames often fall within this size category.

Step 1 – Check how your Kamado is installed
Not every Kamado requires the same type of protective cover. Before checking the dimensions, first determine how your barbecue is installed.
- Standard: Kamado only, without a wheeled frame or trolley.
- Long: Complete Kamado setup on a Nest, trolley or wheeled frame.
- Dome: For Kamados built into an outdoor kitchen.
Who is a Long cover designed for?
A Long cover protects your entire Kamado setup. It covers not only the ceramic barbecue but also the metal frame, wheels and lower support structure, providing year-round protection for the complete installation.
Step 2 – Measure the outside circumference accurately
The dimensions stated by manufacturers are not always suitable for selecting the correct cover. That is why Raffles Covers always recommends measuring the actual outside circumference for the most reliable fit.
- Measure from the centre of the front handle to the centre of the rear hinge.
- Include all protruding parts such as the handle, hinge, and thermometer housing.
- Multiply this measurement by two to calculate the total outside circumference.
- Compare the result with the Raffles Covers size guide.
- Never rely solely on the cooking grate diameter or the model name.
Why we don't use the cooking diameter
Two Kamados with the same cooking diameter can still have different external dimensions. Variations in hinges, handles, side shelves and support frames all affect the overall size. Measuring the outside circumference provides a much more accurate way to select the correct protective cover.

Falls very naturally and beautifully
Very happy with this cover. It fits perfectly over my Big Green Egg and covers the whole base nicely. The material feels sturdy and stays put even in windy conditions thanks to the drawstring. After several rain showers, my BBQ is still completely dry. Moreover, the taupe colour looks nice in the garden. In short: does exactly what you expect.

Quality!
After having had the original cover, which unfortunately was not satisfactory, I looked further and came across your site. The quality is thicker than the original cover and the advantage is that the seams are taped. This prevents leakage after a rain shower. The cover fits nicely on the Green Egg and even the regulator can be opened a bit for extra ventilation.
